| Monroe County established a numbering system for all of its emergency response vehicles back in the 1970's. This numbering system assures that responders all over the county can recognize the type and source of equipment given its number. Fire apparatus can use either a three or four digit identifier, depending on the department's needs. See the charts below for an explaination of this numbering system. |
