To our neighbors,
The Fairport Fire Department is kicking off our 2011 Fund Drive Campaign, and we need your help. We are your neighbors who volunteer our time to help you in a time of need.
Last year your generous contributions allowed us to upgrade our response capabilities by purchasing two new Hurst Tool units known as the “Jaws of Life.” They are used for the extrication of trapped victims involved in auto accidents. These vital tools are designed to easily cut through the latest metal compositions found in today’s automobiles allowing us to make faster rescues.
Your contributions also allowed us to continue our fire safety education programs at Fairport schools and at the fire stations. We offer an Explorer Post program which teaches the youth of our community about firefighting, preparing them to become future Fairport firefighters. Your donations enable the Fairport Fire Department to support many community events such as Canal Days, Lift Bridge Regatta, Halloween activities, our Fire Department Open House, and much more.
We are all confronted with challenging economic circumstances. The Fairport Fire Department strives to be cost effective by reviewing our budget and assessing the effectiveness of our programs. If you cannot maintain your previous level of contribution, we understand. We only ask that you give what you feel you can. Your support of the Fairport Fire Department now or in the future is greatly appreciated.
Your contributions may be tax deductible.
On behalf of the members of the Fairport Fire Department, we thank you for your continued support!
Thank you,
Chief John Welker
