| The Fairport Fire Department is currently engaged in its 2008 Fund Drive Appeal. To our neighbors who have supported us in the past, the volunteer Officers and Members of the Fairport Fire Department thank you. It is your support that allows us to maintain Fairport’s “excellent” fire protection rating. This year we will focus on applying your donations to a number of projects. We are continuing to upgrade our “cold water rescue” equipment, as more sophisticated items are available to provide better capabilities in emergency situations. The anticipated addition of a marine unit for use on the Erie Canal will need to be outfitted with suitable water gear to make it usable before it is placed in service. |
| While the fire safety education and Explorer Post programs continue to work with the youth of our community, these programs need further expansion to keep pace with our growing population. With your help we hope to continue these initiatives thru 2008 and beyond. |
| We are still looking for a few good people to join us. If you have a desire to contribute your time and talents to your community as a volunteer member of the Fairport Fire Department, please browse around this site for more information about our organization. |
