To our neighbors,
   The Fairport Fire Department is kicking off it’s 2010 Fund Drive Campaign, and we need your help.
Like most in our community, our volunteers and the department as a whole are feeling the effects of the current economic downturn. In response to an increasingly tight budget, we are striving to reduce our expenses while maintaining the level of service you’ve come to expect.
In our effort to be as responsible as possible, budgeted items are being reviewed and reassessed in terms of necessity. Last year’s contributions were used to make a major upgrade to our computer system, add more GPS guidance units to our vehicles, and enable our fire safety education and Explorer Post programs to continue to work with the youth of our community. Depending upon the success of our campaign, equipment and programs such as these may not be funded this year.
If you feel you cannot maintain your previous level of contribution at this time, we understand. We only ask that you give what you feel you can. Your sponsorship now or at a future date is important and we benefit from your contributions at any time. Please remember, your volunteer fire department is only as strong as the community’s support.
