| August 2006 - Main Street Lift Bridge Re-opening |
| The Fairport Fire Dept. and The Fairport Fire Dept. Band helped the village welcome back the Lift Bridge on Main Street over the canal. The bridge had been closed for six weeks for repairs. After a short parade over the bridge, the fire dept. band performed a few songs for the many spectators gathered for the event. |
